How long have you worked at JW FItness?

'3 years. '

Why did you join JW Fitness?

'I wanted to start a career where I would enjoy turning up to work everyday.'

What do you like most about working at JW Fitness?

'The atmosphere, the community, the learning. The feeling of helping someone achieve something they might not have been able to do without your support.'

Describe a typical work day at JW Fitness.

'Wake up around 4:45 or 5:45am - team training or first semi PT - working until between 10:30 or 11:30am coaching Semi PT or 1 - 1 sessions with members.

Eat, possibly train, tell some jokes, go see sister and niece on some days.

Evening sessions from 4 - 8 pm then home.'

What’s the one professional achievement you’re most proud of?

'Having 2 1 - 1 members, Eddie and Graham be with me for over 2 years each. Very happy to have been a relative beginner and developed the trust to work with me and help them through their fitness journey. Even though it isn't just because of me why they train here I feel a sense of personal success of writing programs for a long period of time they have enjoyed and felt success with.'

Tell us what interests you most about fitness and well-being.

'The way it is endless, so many things to learn and go through, lots of new paths - and probably the fact that the simple things tend to work the best.

Seeing someone who believes they cannot do something achieve what they seen is impossible.

Understanding that as people get older fitness becomes more important - working with various age groups has been incredible seeing that age doesn't matter if the application is there.'

Tell us about your own fitness journey and future goals.

'I like to train sporadically, I am not obsessed with exercise, I have always played team sports.

My aim is to develop more of a love for my own fitness regime, and focus more on the strength and sustainability element to allow myself to play football for as long as possible.'

What’s the best piece of advice you can offer to someone who is thinking about getting a Personal Trainer?

'Do it if it has even crossed your mind, I find nobody regrets trying and a higher percentage of people really enjoy the outcomes.

Even if it's not forever it is an opportunity to gain an expert's insight - like I say I don’t try and fix my own car engine I take it to a mechanic because I know they are qualified.'

What’s your least favourite job at JW Fitness?

'Hoovering.'

Finally, which famous TV character is most like you?

'Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani Mix - very sarcastic but very charming.'
