A question we are often asked is what is Semi Private Personal Training?


So today, I thought I would answer exactly what Semi Private Personal Training is with JW Fitness and some of the other common questions we are asked.


What is Semi Private Personal Training?


Semi Private Personal Training is personal training but in a small group setting.


At JW Fitness we run this as up to four per session. This ensures we are able to give you the time necessary with coaching and allows us to make the personal tweaks and changes necessary to ensure you can get the most out of every minute you are training.


Our Semi Private Personal Training is exceptionally friendly, welcoming and inclusive.


It is also more cost-effective for you whilst increasing motivation in the group dynamic.

We set our programs up so that they meet you where your fitness is right now. This allows us to work with beginners and more advanced trainees alike, ensuring all members are able to reach their individual goals.

We use a centralised skeleton program when we set up the sessions but we take into account the following to ensure we best support you and your goals.


• Goals

• Exercise history

• Injury history

• Your schedule

Along with the in person sessions, where you will train in a small group (up to 4 people per session), we set you up for training outside these sessions by providing a program you can use beyond JW Fitness', for instance at home or in a commercial gym. These are delivered to you daily via our app and email allowing you to log and track all your workouts allowing you to assess your progress over time.

Training at JW Fitness means you are part of a personal training experience that is customer centric at heart. You also join a community of like-minded, fitness seeking individuals who are on a journey to a fitter and stronger self. Some started where you are right now, some have surpassed their goals and some are still on the journey.

No matter where you we can guarantee that if you are an active individual in this community by hitting your sessions, encouraging others and actively trying to improve by just 1% each day you will end up achieving things that may feel impossible to you today.



Why does JW Fitness use this model for training?



We use this model for a number of reasons:

  • You are able to train alongside others, helping you build friendships that keep you motivated and accountable

  • You are able to train more frequently with our Personal trainers and it is more cost effective. ( 2 sessions per week 1-2-1 are £380 per month where as 2 per week Semi PT are £189)

  • The sessions provide a fun training environment and let's face it training isn’t always fun so being able to have a laugh with others on the same journey is key

  • We are able to run a much more flexible schedule allowing you to train around your other life commitments


Common reservations members have joining a gym?
