My Journey Into Personal Training: A Passion for Helping Others Thrive


The Beginning: A Natural Calling]


From as early as I can remember, I’ve had an innate compulsion to help people thrive. Whether it was encouraging friends to push their limits or simply sharing the joy of movement, I always believed that exercise should be something people enjoy—not something they dread.


Discovering My Purpose

Five years ago, I turned that passion into a career by becoming a personal trainer. I didn’t just want to help people get stronger or fitter—I wanted to help them unlock their body’s potential, regardless of their physical ability. I saw fitness as a way to empower people, boost confidence, and improve overall well-being.


Breaking Barriers in Fitness

One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey has been working with individuals who may have thought fitness wasn’t for them—whether due to limitations, insecurities, or past experiences. I’ve learned that everybody is unique, and there’s no single definition of what “fit” should look like. My mission has always been to make movement accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable for everyone

.

Why Pre and Postnatal?


I first became interested in pre and postnatal training in December 2022, so a long time ago really. One of the main reasons was that my sister was due in December, and leading up to her pregnancy, I found myself drawn to the idea of combining my love for fitness with one of the most physically demanding experiences a human body can go through. As I spoke with her during her prenatal journey followed by various postnatal mothers, I quickly realised how extremely limited the support was when it came to fitness, both in preparing the body for pregnancy and in rebuilding strength afterwards. This gap in care sparked my desire to help and make a difference.


Is Strength Training Important During Pregnancy?


Simple answer: Yes!

Our bodies function more efficiently with lean muscle, as our joints and structures endure daily demands. Building strength throughout life is essential for overall function, health, and longevity. During pregnancy, the body undergoes significant physical changes, making it even more crucial to maintain and build strength. Strength training supports the surrounding tissues, helps manage the added strain, and plays a key role in promoting a smoother pregnancy and a faster postpartum recovery.



One of the main focuses we would have during prenatal training is the ability to contract and control tension within the pelvic floor. 


Strengthening them can:

✅ Reduce the risk of incontinence

✅ Support the pelvic organs

✅ Improve core stability

✅ Aid in a smoother labor and recovery


My role is to guide you through all three trimesters, ensuring you train safely while staying in tune with your body and mind—because only you truly know how you feel!

Each session is thoughtfully designed to adapt to your individual needs, supporting your body for effective and efficient training. At Seedling Strength, we prioritise creating a fun, supportive environment where like-minded individuals can train together, leaving each session feeling stronger, more confident, and happier.

Postpartum training looks different for everyone, depending on their delivery method, recovery time, and the impact of pregnancy on their body. A key focus is restoring the connection between the abdominals and pelvic floor—the foundation of core strength. No matter the starting point, each session is tailored to individual goals and abilities, whether it's gentle mobility and activation or building up to lifting heavy weights!


6 WEEK FREE COURSE


Due to my passion for helping others, and the help I believe mums to be and new mums deserve, I have decided to put on a free 6 week course that will start on the 24th of March. There will be a free group assessment for the lucky 12 women who get a space on the course which will happen the week before on the 20th!
