As part of our Meet the Members series, we asked Stacey about her experience of training at JW Fitness.
Please explain a little about yourself and why you chose to train with JW Fitness.
'Getting to 40+ and after trying lots of different ways to keep fit or maintain motivation, I did my research and fortunately came across JW Fitness which offered a flexible semi PT that would help maintain my motivation and the many different membership packages offered suited my individual needs.'
What if any, were your reservations before starting training with us at JW Fitness?
'I did have reservations that I would be training alongside super fit people and I would stick out like a sore thumb. I also had pre-conceptions (wrongly) that the people would be pretentious, much younger than me and it would be too competitive which would have an adverse affect on what I was try to achieve.'
How did we help you eliminate any reservations you had?
'After my initial consultation with John in the gym all my fears faded. The atmosphere in the gym was friendly and relaxed and proves my preconceptions were wrong. It had a family feel with a diverse group of members. John was genuinely interested to hear about me and my fitness journey so far. He totally changed my mindset about being obsessed with the number on the scales and for the first time made me realise keeping fit is just as important for your mental strength as it is your physical strength.'
What are your biggest achievements since training at JW Fitness?
'My biggest achievement since training with JW Fitness is that after 18 months I am still going. I still battle with motivation and making time for myself alongside balancing my time with work and family. But, John, Anthony and Rachel are amazing and genuinely care and are so supportive. So I don’t stop like I have in the past, it keeps me going.'
What keeps you coming back to train with us?
'JW Fitness is not just a gym, it is a community. I have met lots of great people that I wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for the JW team bringing us all together and I have made great friendships.'

'I say to friends and family, my words can’t express strongly enough the benefits. So, I would say give it a go and I know that after that initial consultation and training session they would be part of the JW family.'
