Whether your goals are training or nutrition-related, focus on what you can do, not what you think you should do.
Why?
In both training and nutrition, there are many paths to achieving your goals.
However, many people are discouraged from starting their journey to a happier, healthier body because they believe they must follow a specific method without considering their current lifestyle.
Is this you?
Have you hesitated to start because people told you there’s only one way to succeed, and that way doesn’t fit your lifestyle?
If so, reach out to me. I’d be happy to help you start.
Here’s what to remember:
Stop listening to those who say there’s only one way or that they have the secret answer.
They don’t. They only have their perspective, life experiences, and beliefs.
For instance:
Bulk cooking might be fantastic for some people but requires a few hours of cooking on weekends. If you prefer cooking fresh meals every night and have the time, that’s great.
Resistance/weight training is amazing for body composition. But if you’re not comfortable or confident to start, and you enjoy yoga, Pilates, or spin classes, then go for those. The important thing is to start.
Tracking your food intake can be a useful tool for fat loss, but if tracking every mouthful is overwhelming, try tracking just one meal or one day a week. Or simply lower your portions for certain meals.
The moral of the story: Ignore those who insist there’s only one way to achieve your goals. Focus on what you can do right now to move forward.
Now, it’s time to take action.
What are you willing to do today to move closer to your goals?
Forget what you’ve been told you should do.
What will you do right now?
